Nepal Soft & Short Trekking

Kakani is another good location near Kathmandu for viewing the mountain scenery. From this location one can see the mountain landscape of the central and western Nepal, a vast collection of majestic peaks stretching from Ganesh Himal to the peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Kakani is unique in the sense that there is an unusually perfect blending of the imposing mountain scenery with the more sylvan environment of the lower valley. Trees growing wild on the mountain slopes begin to bloom in late winter and stay in bloom for several months, giving the village even more charm
Kakani - Nuwakot Treks 14 Days
Nuwakot district itself has very unique and rare structure. This district is moon shaped in the map of Nepal. The middle of this district is very low at height where Trishuli river flows and the boarders surrounded by huge mountains make the weather a unique one. The Trishuli River will make you feel calm and relaxed with its fresh air and melodious flow.  The river also hides the most valuable metallic mineral, alluvial gold used for making jewelry, coin and gold plating in idol crafts. The river roars at night and it's the only sound heard from the very distance. It gives such a heavenly pleasure that anyone can have sound sleep and lost in the dreams of mysterious Nuwakot district.
Nuwakot is a small, still merely ignored town, which used to be quite a historic place, when King Prithvi Narayan Shaha, the first king of modern Nepal, planned and launched several unification campaigns from there. Situated closed to Trisuli Bazar (North West from Kathmandu), there's only a very few people taking the opportunity to visit this place, making it a very preserved area (though lacking resources to maintain the buildings). An interesting, very quiet and peaceful place, beneficiating from beautiful views of the Trisuli valley...

A pagoda style building popularly known as the seven stories Palace and the temple of Taleju Bhawani and Bhairabi stand as the landmark of Nuwakot and it was built shortly after the King Prithvi Narayan Shaha’s arrival. With its strategic hilltop view the convergence the Tadi and Trishuli Rivers to the south and serving as a hate keeper to the main trade route north onto Tibet via Kerung. A trip to Nuwakot along the mountain highway, Trisuli Road, is rewarding with views of green forests on one side and terraced cultivation on the other. The road to Nuwakot begins from Kathmandu and terminates at Bidur where the road to Nuwakot bifurcates. The vehicles can go right up to the top of Nuwakot.
